“Honor doesn’t happen among strangers; it happens in community, where people fail you and disappoint you.”
~ Bobby Haaby

Lesson Overview:

Honor is the foundation of the culture of heaven. In this lesson, we explore what true honor looks like and how it goes beyond politeness, respect, or submission. Jesus demonstrated honor by elevating those around Him, regardless of their background, failures, or status. We are called to do the same—not just honoring those who reflect our values, but all people. Honor isn’t tested when things are easy; it’s revealed in moments of conflict, disappointment, and challenge. This session will challenge your perspective on relationships, covenant, and the supernatural power of honor in shaping the kingdom of God on earth.

Questions to Consider:

  1. Who in your life do you find difficult to honor, and what does that reveal about your understanding of Kingdom relationships?
  2. How does honoring others—especially in difficult moments—change the way they experience you and the presence of God?

Digging Deeper:

Journal this week about a time when you felt truly honored by someone. How did it impact your sense of identity and belonging? Ask the Holy Spirit to reveal where you can extend that same kind of honor to someone else.
